If you are the parent or carer of an autistic child and believe we can help, you can book a free initial consultation with us. A member of our team in your area will arrange to meet you at home or remotely.
What can I expect?
During the initial consultation, we will find out more about how we can help your autistic child and your family. We can talk about the best service model for your needs, schedule, and budget. You can also ask any questions you may have about Little Talks Autism Consulting. This typically takes an hour.
What will you want to know?
As part of getting to know you, we’ll ask lots of questions about your child’s interests and skills. We will ask about your child’s diagnoses or suspected conditions. These could include autism, ADHD, OCD, or Global Developmental Delay. Your child does not need a formal diagnosis before we are able to start working with them.
Your autism support specialist will also want to know what you want the most help with. Perhaps you have a specific skill or concern in mind (e.g. toilet training or support with feeding). Or, maybe you’d like support with a range of skills to help your child make progress.
We encourage you to have your child present during an initial meeting if it takes place in your home. To help us start building rapport with your child from the outset, we will bring some toys along with us. This will give you the chance to make sure your child feels comfortable playing with us too.
We hope that after this meeting you will decide to continue services with Little Talks Autism Consulting, but there is no obligation for you to do so.
