If you’re considering a speech device for your child, you’re in the right place. We offer speech device support for autistic children that’s hands-on, personalised, and rooted in respect for how your child communicates. Our team helps you set up the device, tailor it to your child’s interests, and teach them to use it in ways that feel natural and meaningful.
We also work with you to build practical strategies into your daily routine, so you can support your child confidently during everyday moments. Our approach is autism-specific, tailored to your child’s communication style, and designed to fit your family’s life.
How We’ll Support You
We’re here to guide you through every step of introducing and using a speech device. Our support ensures that you’re never alone in this process. The goal is for you to feel confident in helping your child develop communication skills.
Here’s how we’ll work together
Initial Consultation (1 hour)
Your journey starts with an in-depth consultation to understand your child’s unique needs and existing communication style. We’ll discuss your goals and how we can best support your family. We’ll meet via video call to make it easier to fit this into your busy schedule.
In-Person Informal Assessment (2 hours)
Next, we’ll come to your home to meet your child. We’ll be looking for communication opportunities, how the family interacts and any natural ways to make a speech device meaningful for your child
Hands-On Device Set-Up (Optional)
After that, if you need help setting up the device, we can support you. We’ll make sure it’s tailored to your child’s interests — from favourite foods to people, places, and activities.

Demonstrating How to Use the Device
We’ll come to your home and guide you on how to use the device with your child, making sure you’re comfortable with the technology and how to use it in your day-to-day life.
Ongoing Support
Our team is here for you after the initial sessions. After your initial sessions, follow-up support is available to help you stay on track. We’ll check in on progress, troubleshoot challenges, and adjust strategies as needed. Remote calls are recommended to review how things are going and set new goals as your child grows in confidence. If needed, we can also arrange ad hoc home visits.
