We empower children and their families.
We aim to give children the tools they need to get their needs met effectively, and to live as independently as they can. We work closely with families to ensure they feel confident in supporting their child.
We provide individualised services.
We recognise that every child we work with is unique. We develop highly individualised programmes in which goals and teaching strategies are carefully selected to fit the needs and preferences of the child and their family.
We treat our clients with dignity and respect.
We respect the unique motivations of the children we work with, and we don’t force them to do things which make them feel anxious or uncomfortable.
We prioritise well-being.
At Little Talks we believe that our most important job is to further the well-being of the children and families we work with.
We make learning fun.
We always prioritise play-based learning where possible, and we seek to make all our interactions with children fun. We understand that children learn best when they are motivated to learn.
We use evidence-based practices.
We use teaching and intervention strategies supported by research in the field of autism. We keep up with developments in the field to ensure that our services are as effective as possible.
We collaborate with other professionals.
We believe that it is important to form positive collaborative relationships with other professionals such as teachers, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists. We work together with these professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the children we work with.
We celebrate neurodiversity.
At Little Talks we do not believe that autism needs to be ‘cured’ or ‘fixed’. We celebrate the individuality of the children we work with and seek to nurture their unique strengths and interests while helping them to reach their fullest potential.
We reach for the stars.
We never give up on children and are committed to identifying the best way to teach each child. We set ambitious goals for every child and work hard to help them reach their greatest potential.
