Support for Families of Autistic Children in North East England and the Central Belt of Scotland
We help and support families and parents of autistic children across North East England and the Central Belt of Scotland. Members of our team work closely with parents and their children to teach the whole family strategies to help them. The team is currently accepting clients across Newcastle, North Tyneside, Teesside, Edinburgh, West Lothian, and Glasgow. Your child does not need a diagnosis of autism for us to work with them.
We have experience with a range of challenges and skills such as: sleep problems, toilet training, communication strategies, emotional regulation and many other areas. Would you like to book a free initial consultation? Get in touch to find out more.
How can we help your autistic child?
We work with families of children with autism or similar conditions across North East England and the Central Belt of Scotland. Evidence shows that early intervention is key, so we offer support to young children from the age of 2 up until the age of 12.
Many parents and carers come to us looking for strategies to help their children with their communication, emotional regulation, family relationships, motor skills, and much more. Additionally, we can provide intervention for autistic children with sleep difficulties, feeding, toileting, and participating in other important aspects of daily life.
What is our approach?
When supporting autistic children, we use many evidence-based practices. These include modelling, visual supports, social stories, the SCERTS model, and many more.
Like all children, autistic kids need to feel safe, accepted, and loved. They also need predictability, routine and opportunities to explore things which bring them joy. We work to make sure that these early foundations are in place to support their developing brains.
Our approach involves working closely with families to find out what is most important to them. We provide individualised support to families to help their autistic child grow and thrive as an important part of the family unit.
What is our philosophy?
We know every child deserves to reach their potential and to lead a full and happy life. It is our mission to support children on the autism spectrum to achieve this goal.
We also believe that each child’s unique interests and strengths should be nurtured. Because of this, we will work hard to get to know your child and appreciate them for who they are.
Finally. we know parents and carers are the people who can have the biggest impact on a child’s life. Above all, we want to empower you by giving you techniques to support your child that you can easily fit into your day.
