Daily life can feel overwhelming when your autistic child is struggling with big emotions, meltdowns, or behaviours that seem out of control. Often, these moments are not signs of defiance, but signals of distress in a world that isn’t built with neurodivergent children in mind. If you're dealing with behaviours that are upsetting and confusing, you're not alone. These challenges can leave parents feeling exhausted, isolated, and unsure where to turn.
At Little Talks Autism Consulting, we offer neurodiversity-affirming, respectful behaviour support which is centred on connection, understanding, and practical strategies that work for real families. This is available online to all families in the UK.

Who is it for?
If any of the following apply to you, then this service could be of help:
-
- Your child seems to be struggling to cope with the demands of everyday life
- You can see signs of anxiety or sensory difficulties in your child
- You’re dealing with meltdowns, lashing out, and/or self-injury
- You are worried that your child's behaviour is isolating them or affecting them socially
- You want to understand what’s driving your child’s behaviour
- You feel stuck and unsure how to respond to your child in challenging moments
- You are desperate for gentle but effective ways to help your child
How can we help?
By working closely with parents and carers, we aim to achieve the following:
-
- Help you understand why difficult behaviours are happening
- Identify ways to make life less overwhelming for your child and for the whole family
- Reduce common triggers for challenging behaviour
- Support you to recognise early signs of overwhelm or distress
- Help you to respond in ways that support emotional regulation and reduce escalation
- Give you strategies to fit around your everyday life which honour your child's emotional and sensory needs while also giving them clear and consistent boundaries
How does it work?
We begin with a free initial consultation which will be done via a video call. This is a chance for us to understand your child’s needs, your availability, and your budget, and to make a support plan that feels manageable for your family. There’s no obligation to continue after this call.
If you choose to move forward, and if you are based locally to one of our consultants, we may start with a visit to your home to meet your child in person.
After that, we typically recommend a series of weekly one-hour video consultations. These sessions are for parents and caregivers only, as we may talk about sensitive topics that wouldn’t be appropriate for your child to hear.
During the consultations, we will:
-
- Talk through the behaviours you’re seeing and what feels most challenging
- Review behaviour logs (which you’ll complete between sessions) to identify common patterns
- Gradually build a personalised toolbox of strategies tailored to your child and your family
Our goal is to work with you collaboratively, at your pace, to reduce stress and build confidence in responding to your child’s needs.
